I had the tank on my L245Dt project tractor cleaned and coated internally, unfortunately the tank drain was there when the tank went to the shop and missing when my wife picked it up (and I did not get back in for a while as I was working away).
Long story short they have lost the tank drain and I can't figure out what the internal thread size is.
Not sure if it was a originally a plug or a drain valve.
Seems to be a fine tapered thread about 9 mm in diameter but dos not match any of the "normal" thread sizes I can find.
Does anyone have any idea on the thread size or have a plug they could measure for me (or a scrap tank with the drain I could buy)?
Otherwise I will have to drill it out and fit a larger plug then clean the tank again!.

Thanks

Simon

Its a Japanese tractor so their "normal" for pipe thread is BSP. Since you said tapered my wild A$$ guess is 1/8" BSPT.

The OD of the male thread is 9.7mm and its 28 TPI. Sound about right?

If I remember right it is the same size as the plug the you check your hydraulic fluid level on the left side of the transmission. Also if you look on the bottom of the clutch housing you will find another plug of the same size the you could use. If that doesn't work send me a PM and I will send you one. It is not tapered.
