My post will be similar to one by Lenny. Same tractor. However, my problem started after having filled the tank with clean fresh fuel and running perfectly normal for 1/2 hour or so. Out of the blue the engine started slowing down and running rough. Not at all like running out of fuel which I have done in the past. I had to limp back to the garage and after letting it cool down drained the tank into clear containers (six) looking for dirt or water. Zero. Perfectly clear and clean. Still, thought a new fuel filter might help. Blew out the primary fuel line and also the injectors return line. After opening the single fitting at the injector pump and verifying good fuel flow (by gravity) to that fitting it started right up. But sure enough 2 or 3 minutes later the stumbling dying process started all over. That’s where I am right now.

Concerned this is a injector pump issue. Help.

When it stumbles an dies, crack the fitting going to the injection pump, if no flow then somethings blocking it, most likely algae in the tank or some debris.

Thanks for replying. But engine off fuel flows freely out the fitting into the injector pump. What ever is going on starts at the injector pump.

Can you help me diagnose the injector pump?

Added info: The tractor will start right up. With the overflow return line disconnected from the tank only a tiny amount of fuel bubbles come out the tube. Under normal operation would that be normal, while idling? Once started and left to idle it will sputter to a halt in about 3 or 4 minutes.
