L2350 no power to instrument panel.

L2350 No power to instrument panel no gauges working no lights will not crank.
Replaced battery with new one charged new battery. checked all wiring for rat damage none.

Did you check the 40 amp slo-blow/fusible link/Fuse?

These older models used a Fusible Link in the wiring near the starter. It's a loop of special wire that can sacrifice itself if the battery is connected backward. They can corrode and stop conducting current. Ok to try using a loop of house wire instead temporarily until a new link can be obtained.

Since the fuse checks out good, the issue is more than likely behind the dash or in the switch.
Pull the panel and check wiring, and switch.

Do you have the WSM (aka service manual)?

Thanks i have pulled all panels. Not sure how to check switch but have had no ptonlems with it in the past. But i will pull it and see what i can do with a meter. No i do not have WSM. I searched and there are a lot out there for diffrent prices range low to high. Could you recommend a reliable source?

The next place I'd look is the battery negative cable. Check the end whwere it's bolted to the engine or tractor frame - I had one that looked good, but was frayed and corroded inside. A quick check is to connect a known good jumper cable between the battery post and a good ground - like the engine or frame. On one of my rigs I left a jumper cable in place for a while till I got around to replacing the old one that had died in place :rolleyes:.

Definitely establish that you have a good ground for the system. After that.....Double check all connections.

Lastly....look at the main switch (ign. switch part 32430-31820)

I hate chasing down electrical gremlins. Good luck with it.

Anytime you lose EVERYTHING like that.... its best to start checking the simple things (battery as you did), grounds (very important) and main fuse.

After that....its usually an arduous task of checking each wire/circuit. Hate electrical stuff!
