L1802DT - Hour meter not working

Hello fellow Kubotians,
Recently followed the servicing 101 series on this site. Great resource and thank you to S.D Vic for a great job making it simple.

My issue is that the hour meter is not rolling over, so making it difficult to figure out the next service. Any simple checks or troubleshoot before I order another?

Remove and refurbish the rpm cable.
Use a graphite powder.

My cable gave me grief. I removed it then the hour meter stopped working.
I refurbished as mentioned above and all better.
