I have a similar vintage L185F.

Many parts are still available from dealer and aftermarket. You are correct that some parts are obsolete but those can often be gotten from a salvage yard. The head is the main problem part since they can be cracked by overheating and they are hard to find.

I can’t really say to avoid it but you do have a valid concern. But unless you get a relatively recent model all tractors will have obsolete parts.

Just be sure it is not a rebadged grey market model by looking at the serial number tag which should be in English/French not Japanese.

Just curious - could you pass along any contact details for gathering parts. The tractor I'm investigating is in pretty rough shape. I'd want to replace some selected parts, if affordable. Thanks, in advance, for your input.
I get parts from all over, ebay, craigslist, OTT members are by far the best source of parts.
Just put an ad in Buy, trade, sell section of what you need.
Be cautious of anyone that sends you a message and says to email someone else as they have the part your looking for, it's a well known scam.
If you get one of those messages report it!

I have gotten used parts from this salvage yard in California. @007kubotaguy is involved with it and is a member here. Here is the phone number and name
