L1500DT Injector pump removal

Not a diesel mechanic. Going to remove injector pump. Anything I should be aware of in removing?

The rack will need to move to get it out a notch in the block.

There may be some shims between the block and the pump that must be kept up with and used again when replacing the pump.

Little springs will be involved so use finesse and don’t damage them or let them fly to freedom.
