Not that it's on my short list right now, but if I were to be looking, what size/model backhoes would fit on my L1500DT? I know it won't be big, but better than a shovel!

If you have a 3pt I would think a BH like mine would fit on there. I had it on a B7100 and now have it set up for my L3000. I don't see why it wouldn't fit yours. Kubota Model 4672.

I have a Woods BH 750 subframe mounted on one of my B7100"s. I seems that your tractor should be about the same size.

A Kubota L/K650 came with my L185DT. I think it was about the same size as your L1500DT. One model uses tractor hydraulics, the other has a PTO pump & hydraulics. Get the one with the PTO pump...
I really don't recommend this backhoe - the stabilizers were crummy, and they ran a heavy bar under the lift arms to stop the hoe from jerking up and down as you dug - all it did was bend my lift arms. The swing arm mechanism uses motorcycle chains - I've broken a lot of them. And in the first year EVERY ONE of the hydraulic hoses blew. Booo....
