I have read all the posts regarding the L1500, and I just got one.
I have no reverse, and I saw a post about an easy 2 minutes vs 2 hours
way to get the tranny top cover back on. However it was something along the lines of
"stay tuned for........." but I never saw that that was posted.

No bones about it I have to pull this to do some checking,
any insight on getting everything lined up and back together?

Any additional info about changing that gear if need be without splitting
the tractor would be appreciated also.

Thanks,

I recall reading something about a transmission jamming. Pulled cover and lined up the forks and slid cover back into place.
Using a bar or large screwdriver, line up the three bars with notches. Two will have three positions, one will have two.
Essentially you want everything in neutral to get cover back on.

Do a search on stuck in gear, there may be photos of a tranny in neutral with cover off.
