I currently have on the rear 8.3 x 8/22 4 ply and 6-14 on the front.

What do these numbers mean, 8.3 ? 8 rim width? 22 rim diameter?

I once found a great post on tire sizing and rolling circumference, etc.
but can not find now, looked through the tire section and posted there but
got no hits.

I did find a 8.3x22 at a decent price but with out the 8/,
I can bring in the exact size from overseas but would rather not if I can help it.

Have any L1500 owners dealt with tire issues yet? Are these tires tubed or not?

Any idea where to find that great information post on tires?

I guess in a nutshell, will this combo work,
without destroying my transmission?

We really don't need multiple threads on this, combined the 2. ;)

I personally would suggest you ditch the Rice patty tires and go with a normal set of AG tires!

Easier said than done for the rim sizes I have,
at least for what I am finding on the web.
I am looking at these currently, never heard of the brand,
seems to have good reviews, still not sure if they will
tear up my front diff or transmission?

As long as you get the ratio correct, it won't matter what the pattern is. What is the main work that needs 4wd that you use the tractor for?
