So on my M59 it looks like the pivot pins are worn. To my eye it looks like the holes are wallored also. So here's where it gets off rail. I own a lathe and these pins dont look to difficult. Any idea what metal might makea good replacement? What kind of clearance should the pin have in its bushing?
If the bushing holes are also worn could I just reamed them out to slightly bigger then make a new pin for the new hole or is there some alignment problem im not foreseeing to doing that?
It looks like a new pivot piece is like 1400. Id rather be certain I need to spend it before I spend it. Thoughts? Yes some of this is I just like doing things myself.
