L 45 2016 Hood Release?

Bought a backhoe at an Auction and for the life of me couldn't open the hood. Is it bolted down? Help a brother out guys!

He's having the opposite problem, can't close the hood. I'm trying to open it...

on mine, mx5200, there is a rod at the right front bottom of the hood. Pull it down to release the hood latch

There’s likely a release for the grille guard also. If you release the hood and it won’t raise because it’s hitting the grille guard you’ll need release the grille guard to tilt it forward. If it has one the grille guard release should be on the same side as the hood release at the base of the grille guard. Should be pretty obvious. The hood release wire may be less obvious as it’s a bit down under the bottom of the hood.
