L 35 Block Heater

Hi Fellas,
I'm new to your excellent forum and this is my first post.

I have an L 35 with a freeze plug block heater that looks to be a factory installed accessory. This winter, I decided to plug the block heater in one evening because the temps were dropping to 0 degrees and I needed to plow snow the next morning. The tractor started great the next morning, but I wondered if it's ok to leave the heater plugged in all night when I use it?

And some install a timer so it is set to come on 2 hrs before you want to use the tractor. Saves electricity. Anything more than 2 hrs is usually a waste as it doesn't get any hotter.
