just picked up a l 2350 dt, has a pump mounted on the rear pto, not secured, just on the shaft, i'm sure i'm missing something, any idea's ? pump works but just is on rear shaft, when engaged it rocks back and forth but does work
fine, also how does it come off shaft ?, is there a pin i'm not seeing back there ? it won't just slide off ?, also need to replace a bushing on the backhoe , i think its thru the bushing, not positive, a real pain to remove the arm going down to the bucket and repair ?, first time doing this, i welcome any good advice , thanks

There are roller sprayer pumps that are PTO driven. They should have a collar that you slide back and slip the coupling off the PTO shaft, exactly like the collar on an air-chuck for air-tools, impact wrench & etc.

On my backhoe the pump is held on the PTO shaft with a pin that you need to push to get it to release. Similar to a PTO drive shaft to an implement. If there is no obvious release pin or collar like Birdogger was talking about it probably has a roll pin in a hole that goes through the shaft. If the backhoe has not been off in a while it could be hidden by oil/grease or mud. Next- the pump is only supported by the shaft and you can see it move slightly as the shaft rotates. There should be some method to keep it from spinning. Mine has a pin that sticks up and goes into a slot on a bracket just above the pump. It does not hold the pump firmly just keeps it from spinning. I have seen other setups that use a spring and cable to keep the pump from spinning.
Can't really help with the bushing problem on the hoe without knowing what make and model it is or seeing a picture.

On my B7100 with backhoe, this pic shows the PTO pump (black) attached to a bracket with two vertical "ears". (orange) These ears register in slots in the PTO guard (Kubota blue/gray) and the trailer hitch (orange) to keep it from spinning. The half red, half yellow item in the middle is the adapter coupling between the PTO shaft & pump shaft. It clamps to the pump shaft with a set screw, and is held in a groove on the PTO shaft with a spring loaded pin that you push in to release it. I'd get some better pics, except the tractor is 150 miles from here currently.

i put up a new profile pic of the backhoe if anyone has a idea on the pin and bushing on the backhoe, 1 person told me there were no bushings in these models that he remembered, just pins.
