My kx121-3 has a hydraulic issue. The dozer blade drifts down all the time and that makes it almost unusable for grading. I bought new check valves for the dozer section of the control valve but haven't installed them yet. Also, When I move the left travel lever forward, the dozer blade raises up. I'm thinking that the rotator joint seals are bad. Anyone have any advice or recommendations?

Do you have the WSM for it?

If not I would suggest that's where you start, as there is a lot of troubleshooting information in it.

Yes I have the WSM So are you saying that the rotator joint would be the place to start? Is rebuilding the rotator joint something that a nonmechanic can do.? I have a concrete floored pole shed along with metric tools and airwreches.

Have you removed the floor board panels and checked for dirt? over time, they fill up with impacted dirt. I have seen this situation cause some really funky hydraulic problems. Open it up, pressure wash out all the mud and lubricate all the connections. This is a long shot but it has solved several problems for me in the past.

If you are truly a "non mechanic", you might be best advised to take this problem to your dealer or a local mechanic.
