I’ve just replaced two hydraulic lines and replaced hydraulic fluid, but prior to this, and now still an issue I’ve noticed that when I try to lower the bucket there seems to be an issue. I push it forward ( to lower the bucket) and it initially starts going up and then very slowly lowers and it feels like something is stopping the lever from fully going forward. I can push it further forward and the bucket lowers quickly but it feels like something is catching in the lever mechanism. It also seems to be very under powered when using the bucket to lift anything. Any ideas?

Your description sounds as though when you hit resistance you may be going into float mode on the control which is a non pressurized mode where gravity is allowed to pull the bucket down. As far as the strange reactions to the controls, make sure you have no leaks on the connectors where they hydraulic lines were replaced. A leak in the system can cause the symptoms you describe.

Thank you. I was pretty thorough checking for leaks initially after replacing the lines, but I might have missed something so I’ll be sure to double check

Check the hoses to see that you did not cross them and that they are plugged into the correct coupler. Check to see that the couplers are fulled latched also.
