I recently had my 2380 tractor serviced. When the tractor was returned to me the mower deck won’t lower. It is stuck in the up position. I can hear the hydraulics trying to work when I move the lever, but the deck does not move. Any ideas?

Sorry for the silly question, but have you checked the deck height knob that is just below the seat? If that is in the highest position, that position locks it into place. That thing can be persnickety and will insist on being difficult to disengage. And, you won't be able to look under to see since the mower deck will be in the way.

The other thing that came to me is that the lift arms are somehow "hung up" on something.

Be advised, Pkailing, that I readily admit to my limited knowledge but when I saw that no one had responded to you, I felt compelled. Who knows...one of these days I'll get something right! :)

Hope you get it figured out.

TG got it right. Make sure you have the deck raised fully before you try to move the knob.

If that's not the problem then the dealer may have bent something when they reinstalled the deck (kinda unlikely, though).

If it was not number 1, another thing to check is the knob by your right heel and see if who ever serviced the tractor may have closed it when transporting the tractor to prevent the deck from dropping while being transported. This knob controls how fast the 3 point hitch lowers, and locks it when transporting with implements on the back. The 3 point hitch and deck go up and down together.
