Hi all,

Looking for reccomendations for a winch for my 1100cUTV with the k connect system. Sould I consider mounting a winch using rear hitch receiver? Winch will be used to pull some granite blocks around for steps i plan to build. Also to assist with lowering and pulling out a boat lift up a slope seasonally. Would also use if I get stuck.

Sounds like you need to mount it in the REAR of the machine. Assuming 12 volt winch, consider Anderson powerpole connectors, 2nd battery and 'battery isolator' setup.
be nice if winch has 'free wheel' option.

That's what I have, a receiver hitch mount and front and rear wiring all from Orange Aftermarket.
So I've always had it mounted on the rear ever since I had the Boss plow, now the K-Connect blower installed.

No extension. Everything fits. I think the extension was only so you didn't have to reach under to put pin in? Because I did have the winch in the front before I put the plow and blower on it.
I would have need an extension to use it with the Boss plow harness on though.
I am not sure how everything work with the blower now though. They did give me a kit to put the front receiver and grill guard back on if you remove the power pack but I haven't really looked at it yet.

My winch is a Warn XR45 4500 pound. And it has a plug in remote control.

I just ordered the winch and winch hitch mount and fair lead mounting plate. Winch on Amazon and rest from kfi. Thanks for photos and info. It was a great help.

Oh ya, forgot about that. So what are the parts you found? Similar to what I have?
I bought the same warn winch you have from Amazon $495. I bought the receiver mount that orange aftermarket had, but ordered from kfi directly. Kfi also reccomnded an attachment plate for fairlead. As far as I could tell the winch didn't include the plate. Once I receive the winch I will see what I need for wire and quick connectors.

I had to look at my pics, I couldn't remember if I even had a fairlead on mine, LOL
I can't remember what I paid for all mine but that sounds like a great price you got on the winch.
I hadn't heard of KFI.

I usually just get everything from my dealer because they usually give me pretty good pricing. And lots of stuff you can get your salesman to order through Wholegoods and it's way cheaper than anywhere else you can get it. Like rims and tires....you basically get the rims for free.

I may regret doing install myself and wish I went through dealer. WARN and KFI both known for good service so hopefully worth it. Aftermarket orange sells kfi winches and mounts. When you reccomended aftermarket orange I went on their site and saw kfi stuff.
