Don't know squat about the motor but if it's a gas motor, first place to start are the mag coils. Check the gap between the coil and the flywheel. Needs to be a business card clearance. Then check the primary wires to the coil and makes sure they aren't grounding on anything. You can check the coils for shorts with a multimeter. If they show some resistance, they are good. No resistance means they are shot.

Do you have the Workshop Manual which contains procedures for checking out pulser coils and other components?

If not check your private messages

You need to fully understand the spark ignition operation on your engine.

Yes there are coils to produce sparks for the plugs but something has to provide a signal to the coils telling them when in the engine's rotation cycle should they fire the plugs. In old gas engines there would be a set of points inside the distributor sending a signal to the coil.

In your engine, there are pulser coils located very close to the flywheel. there is a magnet embedded in the flywheel and as the magnet passes each pulser coil a current signal is generated which then tells the control box to fire the coils. To check the pulsers you do not have to find them just the 4 pole electrical connector between the pulsers and the control box.

It seems likely since you lost first one plug's spark and now both plugs spark something is disconnected in the wiring or a wire is in the wrong place.

Does your machine have the KRA system.... Kubota Reverse awareness. It can stop the engine.

I checked continuity at key an only getting it on 2 or the 4 pins
Scott
You said you have the WSM.

You need to be methodically following the laid out test procedures if you want to get to the bottom of your problem.

Here is page 93 which explains how to test the key switch in each of its 4 possible positions.

I to had that problem with mine. It is an easy fix at least mine was. You have a fuse blown, look near your battery you will see 3 fuses the one in the middle a 10 amp is blown. Replace that fuse should fix your problem.

Response to a 3 year old post?
OP has likely given up on his free mower, or discovered the fuse issue himself, over the past 3 years
