Hey guys, new to the forum here.

I recently got my hands on a T1460 that was only used twice then sat for about 6 years. Changed battery and plug and everything seems to run perfect. However, my new lot has some hilly spots and this mower cannot get up them. Seems like it has NO power but motor sounds perfect.

Any suggestions where I should even start ?

Thanks,

JP

Clean fuel and new fuel filter. Also- check the condition of the air filter and housing. Sitting that long could have attracted any number of critters that would restrict the air flow to the engine.

Does it have no power as in the engine bog's down or even stalls? Or does it just not move like a slipping tranny? My guess is, it's a hydrostatic and it's the later. Start with checking the hydro fluid level and condition, if it looks bad try changing the fluid and filter(if serviceable, Kubota should be). Also make sure the tranny is engaged, they put a feature on them that disengages them so they can be rolled. If that don't fix it, it probably needs a hydro unit.

Edit: check for the main drive belt slipping, weather it a belt driven hydro, or a belt driven gear machine.

If it's a hydro I would change the fluid and filter and check the pickup screen if it has one.;)
