I have a 2006 Kubota RTV900. The dump bed wouldn't operate fully. Looks like a closed system with no tank/reservoir. How do I add hydraulic fluid? How do I purge air from the system.
Any help would be appreciated.

Many different variants of the RTV900. I looked at a couple and they had a hydraulic tank. Whats the full model number of yours.

Looking at this model’s parts list there is a tank..

The diagram is not very helpful in locating it but here it is

Unless it has some home-made cobbled system, it has a reservoir.
It should have a plastic tank mounted between the frame rails at the very rear of the unit.

The tank is under the bed, between the frame rails at the rear of the unit.
The #2 reference in the circle is the fill/check cap on top of the tank.

Got it Dan, Thanks. Went by the dealer today and found out that, yes indeed, this machine came with a hydraulic fluid tank. It must have been removed a some point and the return hose just connected back to the pump. Looks like a rear tank, sitting just above the transmission and below the bed. I believe some brackets are missing with the tank. I'll find a tank, brackets, do some plumbing and be back in business.

That mod is a recipe for pump failure. There is no place to store the oil needed to extend the cylinder. When you extend the cylinder to raise the bed the pump quickly runs dry and the cylinder stalls. I hope you get lucky.
