I’ve been looking at the 2601 for our new homestead and reading all the threads about comparisons on these two tractors which now has me question bong my decision. We bought 45 acres of hillside and I’m going to carve out 10 acres or so to actually keep up. The machine will have to do the mowing as well as all the chores around the house for a while until I can actually jump up into a real farm tractor. Either machine will be equipped with a FEL, mmm, backhoe and a brush hog. The best deal So far is one dealership quoting me 26,900 for the 2601 is that about right for those attachments? And if anyone has the same setup on a 2650 what should I expect to pay?

The B2650 is a nicer more equipped model, it will have more options that the economy B2601.
It will run you more $ but it might be worth it in the long run. ;)

Pricing will vary according to your location. When I priced them, the B2650 ran approx $1500-$1700 or so more than B2601. There was not a significant cost difference (IMO) between the two. Since I was moving up from a BX series, the '01 series didn't appear to be that much different in size to fulfill my needs, so I went with the slightly larger '50 series.

My set up for B2650 with 60" QA bucket, BH77 and 16" bucket was 25.1K (excluding taxes/insurance). Don't know if that helps you at all.
