I just got a used Kubota l3940 hstc and have been doing all the maintenance. I've changed every filter except the HST filter now.

Right now, there is a WIX 557616, and I tried to replace it with an OEM Kubota HHTA059900, but the threads are too small. When I go to cross-reference them, they should be the exact same. Is it possible they made the Kubota filter wrong? I plan on getting the same WIX filter on Monday but I can't understand this and it's been driving me crazy.

Has anyone ever dealt with something like this?

HHTA0-37710 is the filter I come up with for that model.

HHTA0-37710 is the hydraulic suction filter which is on the Right-Hand side of the tractor, and HHTA059900 is the HST High-Pressure filter which is on the Left-Hand side of the tractor.

If a WIX 557616 screws on then the HHTA059900 should screw on as they are the same thread.

That's the crazy part. Side by side, the Wix had a larger thread, even though they should be exactly the same. Could the Kubota filter be installed wrong from the factory?

Take the Kubota filter back to the dealer and compare it to a couple of other filters.

I recall there was an update to that threaded adapter due to filter update. The early 2007-09 had 58700-11530, the revised part is #58700-11530.

I've also seen the wix filters with and adapter on them and it gets stuck to the tractor.
Look on the tractor and see if there is a slotted ring on the tractor.
