Hi,
I have a L3500 utility model too. It has a cartridge type oil filter on it which I understand they don't anymore and sence it is a grey model would not sell it to me anyway. Is there a way I can convert it to a spin-on type which I could get replacement filters for? Also, I broke a tie-rod end. Is there another equivalent model? This looks like a real oddball model. Help.

hello gordo. i am glad to know that my l3500 is not the only one in the u.s.a. i like you am having a hard time with parts. my tie rod ends were so bad they were falling off so i welded large washers over them so the ball would'nt slip out. if you find out any thing about them i would like to know.

I ask him last year if he wanted me to find hime some tie rod ends and replace the ones I welded the washers on he said he?? no it handles better now than it did when new. ;) They were large THICK washers. handy

I'm new to this board. I hope this reply gets back. I'll try the washer trick. I guess you can't find oil filters either. The part number is 15121-32080 but I can't find any more. I'll keep you updated. Thanks Gordo

Thanks for the info Handyman- a very perceptive idea. The tractor runs real good and has a lot of power for its size. Now, I guess I just have to keep the oil clean.
Thanks again, Gordo

Hi Vic,

The Tie rod ends are screw on. About 3/4" on one end and about 1/2" on the other. The original oil filter box had a kubota number of
15121-32080 on it. engine number appears to be DS 1900.

Thanks, Gordon
