Hi All-
While continuing with Rust and Rehabilitation, I decided to clean off the top of the engine and remove and inspect the injectors.
This is a D1703 engine.
After immediately puncturing a rusty freeze plug and charming the job with colorful language, I thought I'd post a few pictures for those that might never have done these things.
While on top of the engine, I repaired the valve cover (corrosion), cleaned the injectors, replaced the fuel lines and return line.
I am also replacing the exhaust manifold and muffler due to age/rust. I found the the aftermarket manifold new on Ebay from Reliable Aftermarket parts for $70. I'll include the info if you need a muffler as the OEM is a ridiculous $600 and my aftermarket was $120 from Amazon. I obtained the 3 fuel lines and return from Kumar Brothers on Ebay for around $80.
Enjoy
