Hello, I’m helping my father in law do some maintenance on his L35. He has the seat that flips around to use the backhoe and the spring broke a long time ago. I’ve been scouring the internet looking for the right spring. Anybody have a part number?

thank you in advance.

If you can't get the original part get some dimensions from the spring like the inner or outer diameter, wire diameter, number of coils, etc. Is it a compression spring or do you pull on the ends? With that information you may be able to go into a local tractor or farm equipment supply store. You might even find a suitable substitute on line at the Home Depot website. Expand your horizons. You may get something else to work.

The spring is long gone years ago. It’s a pull type with eyes at each end and it helps the seat pivot over to the backhoe side of the tractor. I can find something that might work. He actually did that but it never was quite the right spring. Really like to find the original one or perhaps someone has the measurements of the original one so I can find something that fits.

Can you post a picture and point out where the spring goes? I had to do some work on my seat, but I just remember two compression springs. It may be a while before I'm at my tractor, but I'll see what I can do.

Assuming we're talking about #150 in the parts list posted above. I measured 0.194" wire (may be 5 mm), 1.12" diameter O.D., and I count 13 turns. I can't vouch that they're OEM because I bought the tractor used, but they work fine.

Since I measured these I'll post their dimensions too. Item #300, 0.194" wire, 1.82" O.D., 5 turns, forgot to measure the length.
