Hi All-
Back around April I showed some pictures of the rebuild of the swing cylinders on my backhoe.
Since then I've been busy building a barn for the tractor and now am getting ready to do some digging for French drains.
Thus, I needed to get the cylinders installed in the machine and after all the work to replace bushings etc. on the BT900, I thought that leaving the bottom bushings exposed to dirt and such would be silly. Besides, I needed to find another use for my plasma cutter.
Here's some pictures for your review. If any of you L35/backhoe owners need the template let me know. The cover plate is held in with 1 M8-1.25 bolt.
Here is the bottom of the BT900 showing the open cylinder bushings.
Here is the template and the metal cutout cover.
Note the brace welded on to keep the cover from turning.
Here is the completed project.
