I have a 2003 L3400 with 650 hours. The 3pt has gotten to where I have to move the bucket up and down to get the 3pt to go up. Do I need to take relief valve out and clean/replace? Not sure what I need to check.

I’m sorry I am just now replying, found this in junk mail. I have not disconnected any hoses. Power steering does work. I do not have rear remotes. In the past I have had to replace the hydraulic low pressure hose because of cracks, more than once. It’s a 2004 not a 2003.There are different models of L3400 so please advise which you have.
The only free WSM's I have found for L2800 L3400 are from Scotland and there are differences so it can be misleading.
Does your power steering work?
Do you have any rear remotes?
Is it possible any hydraulic lines were disconnected and re connected?
Your symptoms sure sounds like a hydraulic line in the wrong place on the hydraulic block but I await your responses.
Dave
It’s a 2004. I have had to replace that return Hose more than once. I may run to town and get one and try that. I looked at it but wondered if it was collapsing inside.L3400 were introduced in 2004 (jerky hitch and all). Are you sure about the year and model??? They had the super bad return hose that cracks but they were also painted so you don't see the cracks... if you have not replace that, it's my guess. (2"-ish hose by your right foot).
Hydraulic fluid and filter changed about 50 hours ago. I went by kubota yesterday and service manager gave me two shims and told me to put one in and then the other to see if that makes a difference. Made me think that those springs in the relief valve might have a issue. I am not keen on just doing that and see if it works. Will have to buy a pressure gauge before trying that. When was the last hydraulic filter changed? Is the hydraulic fluid level in the sight glass correct? I've been low by 1.5 gallons and the tractor still worked fine...
You mentioned about the relief valve. Does it sound like it's activated? I assume high pitch like I dead head the FEL... Is the FEL working normally??
