Hi everyone,

I'm relatively new to my Kubota L3200 and have a quick question about the PTO engagement.

I've noticed that when I engage the PTO clutch lever, it sometimes goes in smoothly, but other times there's a gentle grinding sound—as if some internal gears are still spinning. The noise continues briefly until the lever clicks into place.

I've uploaded a short video where you can hear exactly what I'm describing.

Is this normal behavior for this model? The tractor does have a two-stage main clutch, so I'm wondering if this is just how the system behaves.

Any insights from more experienced owners would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Here is the video. Make sure to unmute it to hear the sound.

The only thing I would say try is when the clutch is mashed put the transmission in any gear this would stop the gears from turning engage pto place transmission in neutral or once the clutch is mashed pause a few additional seconds before engaging the pto

Thanks, I will try to do that. So you are saying this behavior is normal?
