Kubota L2800 HST CAM/CLUTCH replacement needed

Hello! I am new to this forum. Thank you for allowing me to join this group.
I purchase a used L2800 HST, and it came with a worn CAM/CLUTCH. I did test the PTO with a bush hog. The clacking noise started once the bush hog began cutting under a little load. I have tried to adjust the cable, but no improvement in the clacking noise.
I will attempt to change the parts with the help of a mechanically savy friend. I will be interested in any suggestions or information before getting started. Should I be extra cautious while splitting or re-connecting the housings? Thanks in advanced.
