my kubota l2250 3 point hitch does not seem to be lifting properly. the tractor was bought used and i havent used the 3ph too much. it lifts a 5 foot rotary mower just fine. i got a set of heavy 3 pth pallet forks and while the hitch will lift the forks i tried moving a small garbage shed ive got and it will not lift it more than a few inches. as far as i found out the lift capacity for the 3ph is 1800 pounds but am not sure if that is correct. the tractor has a front end loader and rear remotes which arent used, perhaps the plumbing of these could effect it? the 3ph will remain in the lifted position and does not drop so leads me to beleive its not leaking by.

I suspect that your 3 point is fine, and the shed was too much. You've got to look at more than the lift capacity, or the weight of the shed. Distance from the lift arms greatly affects the lift capacity. You have the fork frame, the forks, and the placement on the forks- that adds up to a significant weight far back from the optimum lift point.

Thanks for the reply. Yes you make a very good point. I should have thought of the physics of the lift and not just lift capacity. Looks like I'll roll the shed along a bunch of logs to move it in place instead.

If you really want to test it:
Put the pallet forks on and add weight and lift it.
You will need to remember to to add the weight of the pallet forks from the total weight lifted.

1435 lbs at 24" back
