I have L1500 coming out thick black oil and heavy smog from the muffler after replaced the engine oil.
I called my neighbor for help named Lance who was a master mechanic retired from the local Kubota dealer. Also, he is member of orange tractor talks..
He asked me immediately how to use the tractor last year and this year.
I said just driving by on my property.
He said the tractor is too lazy and needs to work hard.
I had attached the 4' rotary mower and mowed my yard for a couple hours.
It has improved so much. So I did again for a couple hours. Now the tractor is perfectly fine.
He explained later what cause it is that cause the symptoms you mentioned, it is called "wet stacking" Keep an eye on the oil level and check the coolant for signs of oil in it. Probably she didn't like setting for so long and just needed to be run a good bit.
Hope any member has same problem, then try to run heavier the tractor for a while.
Most like will reserved the problem.
