When you say driveshaft, do you mean the shaft that runs between the pump and the engine? I hate saying this, but you may have to remove the entire rear fender to get it out. Maybe taking the deck off gives you more room?

I had to take mine off when I replaced the fan belt on my G5200. I unbolted both sides and slide it towards the engine and then pulled it down from the pump side. It’s a similar design, but much less busy than the G2000. The 3 machine screws on the rubber bushing at the engine side were a pain too.
