Fellow G1800 owners, I need help identifying a possible missing part/cover I noticed it while cleaning up the machine for the new season. I’m pretty sure that bearing isn’t supposed to be exposed so any help with information or reference picture would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That looks like the end of the fuel camshaft. But there should be a cover over it. How the cover is attached is a mystery to me but here is a picture of it.
It shows up in the crankcase group of Kubota online parts. Notice there are two part numbers depending upon the serial number but the …10 part seems to be superseded by the …12 part anyway.
Please look into this and see that you agree that is the pump camshaft since I am just looking at the pictures you posted. That camshaft is under the ENGINE INJECTION PUMP section.
