For some reason I can not get the blades on my F 2000 Diesel to go 2500 revolutions. It goes easily into 1100 revolutions. When trying to put into 2500 it makes a loud screaming/squealing sound. Yes we are holding the clutch down to turn blades on. Any help on what may be wrong and how to fix?

It's a 7 year old thread the original poster never got a response on. I can see why. What is his question. He says, "I can not get the blades on my F 2000 Diesel to go 2500 revolutions."

Then, "It goes easily into 1100 revolutions."

Then, "When trying to put into 2500 it makes a loud screaming/squealing sound."

Does he have a tachometer on his blades? Is he wanting to engage the mower deck so the blades turn?

Let's start over. What does you mower not do that you'd like it to do?

A loud screaming sounds... Sounds like dry bearings to me.

Mostly just making sure that 2500 is doable don't want to destroy it
Was also having clutch issues so may be related to that...

Guess for now I just want to know that 2500 rpm with a 72 inch cut should work fine

It is in multiple pieces right now so won't know if clutch was causing it for awhile
