I first heard about these straps (bungees, somewhere in between I guess) from a pilot friend and bought a few. Since then they have become my go to solution for securing things to things. You can use them with heavy gloves on, you can join them together to make any length needed, they are UV resistant, and are generally super handy. They have just enough stretch, but not too much. I used them a lot on my recently trail building project, securing shovels and rack to the ATV, the electric chainsaw to the wood chipper, etc., very handy. Somewhat expensive, but worth it.

Here's is a shot of one securing my aux hydraulic hoses, originally installed for my angle adjustment for the snow blade, and run along the loader arms. Since I just got a side shift flail mower, I "unsecured" them from the arm and ran them backwards, after finding they were just the right length to serve the mower also. Not super clean looking, but the hoses are sufficiently out of the way, (and they don't rub on the hood while using the loader, though it looks like they may in this pic) but they did need to be secured somehow. Once again, Voile straps to the rescue, it was then that I realized they are almost a perfect color match for Kubota orange! https://www.voile.com/voile-straps.html

Just an FYI...I'm pretty sure I saw some hanging on a display at Home Depot in Kalispell,MT a while back. Might check your local stores.

I just got some more, a different brand this time, http://titanstraps.com/. Just to mix it up a bit, if anything these seem a bit more heavy duty. They are not particularly cheap, but I am using them more and more for all types of things (and why I needed more):

Securing the ramps to the top of my open deck trailer, serious business when going down the highway.

Securing my electric bike's extra battery to the luggage rack, just the right amount of stretch combined with strength.

Shovels and other tools to the ATV's rack.

Many things in and on my airplane.

You can use them in the winter, (I ski fly in the winter, and can't wait to replace my snowshoe bindings with these, it's 97 degrees right now) and or with gloves on, easily. I am annoying my friends by bragging them up, I like them (any brand I've tried so far) so much.

Good tip on the Home Depot source.....and my compliments for picking Kalispell as a place to hang your hat, one of my favorite flights is up there, their old airport is smack dab in the middle of town pretty much, like a small town airport should be! The new one sucks......
