Got my tractor back yesterday from from being serviced. Took the bucket loader off off to mow the lawn. When done I went to put the bucket loader back on but unfortunately couldn't see the color coding clearly and got the connectors mixed up. Two connectors refused to come off, the bucket loader mounting points went under where they were supposed to go and the two stuck lines got pulled taught, so there was no way to use a jack or anything to release the pressure, without damaging the lines.
Anyway I was trying to figure out the best spot to unscrew a coupling to relieve pressure. I figured I would try the part with the male pin on it (forgot what that is called) as that screwed into a larger connector that went into the hydraulic manifod. Unfortunately that larger connector snapped where it goes into the part with the male pin on it. I stopped by Napa, the guy there said the larger part that broke was common, but the part with the male pin was not. He was going to take it home, and see if he could get the broken threads out of it.
Anyway, good times. I tried on the other one, to loosed the spring loaded connector off the end of the hose with two wrenches. Those wouldn't budge. So I attempted to remove the part with the male pin on it also, fortunately that came loose (with a similar force that the other one snapped).
So given the choices of where best to relieve hydraulic pressure, would it be the end of the hose itself? I know at least one hose was replaced before, so I assume they reuse the spring loaded connector.
Also are these parts with the male pin (the one that youtube videos usually say to wack with a hammer to release pressure), hard to get or a Kubota item? My manifold is U.S made, so are in inches. Some parts are metric. Very confusing some times. Sorry to be long winded, had this tractor for 20 years, first time screwing up he hoses.
Thanks in advance,
Paul
