I just had the 4 hydraulic cylinders repacked on my B 219 front loader. I drained out the hydraulic fluid, cleaned out the filter screen and replaced both low pressure return lines and raplaced the pressure line from the pump to the spool. I filled the hydraulic tank up to specs, the question is: can I just start the tractor and let it build up pressure or do I need to purge the system first?? I just want to make sure before I damage anything. Thanks!!

If your hydraulic reservoir is full your pump will be full as well. No bleeding necessary.

It only takes seconds for the system to purge out any air.

The cylinders will be full of air but when you extend (or retract) them the air will be pushed out and replaced by hydraulic fluid. You may want to extend and retract them a few times to get all the air out.

I assume you replaced the hoses one at a time so you are 100% sure they are exactly like before so you should be fine to start the tractor.
