I think our B6100 tractor has a hydraulic issue. When I raise the hitch for the brush hog implement, the hitch will slowly fall down to the ground. The former owner thought there was a leak in the seals. Does anyone know the fix for this issue?
HAHAHA, BAD IDEA!I would try cranking the engine over but not starting it and at the same time activating the lever to raise the 3 pt hitch. This will use the hydraulic pressure to push the piston out. You don't want to do this with the engine running as too much fluid and pressure will be generated.
Pack rags or a blanket to catch the piston and contain any oil.

You need to push down on the lift arms- (arms up-piston down, arms down, piston up) might have to remove all the 3pt stuff. That should get the piston to the top, then I used a big magnet to pull it out. Mine had an o-ring & a backing ring, that drawing only shows the o-ring. ??I tried lifting the 3 point hitch,
There was a change mid production that went from one to the other, both are right for that model.Mine had an o-ring & a backing ring, that drawing only shows the o-ring. ??
