So how did you guys attach the Kens bolt on hooks for a QA bucket. I order the back to back kit for grab hook and clevis got 3 of them. But the bolts are way to short. and inside bucket angle vs top plate angle would not allow tightening up the clevis to inside bucket and hook on the top plate of the QA bucket... so I can do a side by side. If you did it that way did you remove the bucket so the FEL QA is not in the way? This is for a L2501 W/525 FEL QA bucket.

Going to ask a stupid question.....ARE they the correct hooks for your QA bucket? Ken has about every possibility of hooks for almost all buckets. Maybe something got shipped incorrectly.

And Ken checks here often - If there is a mistake, or even if not, bet you an ice cold beer he "fixes" it!!!!

Give him a PM or a phone call and see if he can help you.;):)

I did send Ken an email and he promptly replied before I posted this thread. He is the one that told me this kit bolts to the top plate of the QA bucket vs going completely through and that the clevis would be on a different plane inside the bucket vs the hook on top of the bucket and tightening the 2 together would be an issue. I will probably remove the bucket to make access easier under the top plate of the bucket at the lift arms. Then mount the hook in line with the lift arm and a clevis beside it. There is picture of a QA bucket like that on Kens website.

I bolted mine on the top plate without removing the bucket and it wasn't that difficult. My advice is to buy good drill bits in 1/4" and I think 1/2" and use some type of cutting oil while drilling the holes. I had good bits but ended up burning up the first 1/2" bit because I did not use oil with the first one.

Mounting on top will provide a super strong setup

Some guys have mounted some of the clevis's inside to the roof of the bucket to attach straps or slings to help hold things in the bucket. Different bucket but you'll get the idea.

Yeah Im looking at mounting options trying to make a versatile attachment system that include strength for heavy and light loads.
