Hi I was looking for someone that has some experience with joysticks on these tractors. I have a 2009 3030 and I want to put a linear actuator on my snowblowers deflector chute. I was hoping to control it from the joystick and was looking to see if anyone had a product recommendation? I have done a google search but would prefer real world advice!
Thanks

I used one of those 4 chnl RF wireless relay boxes for my snowblower project. The 'key fob' has 4 buttons A,B,C,D. so rotated with A @ 12 oclock , A is up chute, C is down chute, D is left, B is right.

The joystick is connected to a hydraulic valve but I assume you’re adding an electrical linear actuator? I don’t know how that would be connected to the joystick but you might be able to add some type of switches that are activated by the joystick. There is a member here that added some sort of joystick that has some electrical switches in it but I think they control hydraulic selector valves that the joystick controls cylinders through the hydraulics still.

I don’t remember exactly what it does but see this thread or search for “scorpion” by user Mcmxi for other threads.

You might see if you could use some type of accelerometer like used on smartphones to activate the linear actuator. Maybe even use the smartphone itself?
