I know there has been a TON of threads on this and I posed this question to Service Dept Vic - but apparently he must be on vacation or not near his computer. So here goes....

I have a new L3800 Hydro with FEL. It has about 20 hrs on it. The 3 pt hitch jerks in the upward motion. I've talked to my dealer and he says that there is some adjustment that can be done to the "feedback linkage" to correct this. He said that the mechanic needed to pull the top of the tractor to do the work. He has the tractor now and is confident that it will solve the problem. Are they on the right track - or is he blowing smoke at me ????

I thought that Kubota had fixed this issue long time ago !!

I would appreciate if someone who owns a newer L3800, L3400, L3700, or L2800 can comment on this. Thanks.

I have a Kubota L3800 with 24 hours on it and the 3 point has always been jerky when raising it slowly. The lever that operates the 3 point lift fell off about a month ago, no big problem just didn't get a good weld on it from the factory. Took it in to dealer for replacement and asked them to fix the jerky 3 point while it was there. One week later I went to check on it and the lever was replaced but they were just about to call tech support about the jerky lift. End of week two I checked on it again and they said Kubota wanted a factory service tech to look at it. Week three they talked to the factory service tech on the phone and he suggested some adjustments. Adjustments did no good. End of week three factory tech shows up at dealer and says to replace the valve with a new one. Three days to get ok for warranty replacement from Kubota. They install new valve and no difference in lift. Dealer spent several hours with tech support and they decided to install a new valve from the Grand L series tractor. End of week four I picked up the tractor today and so far all is well. The valve from the Grand L seems to have solved the problem. I just wish Kuboat would admit there is a problem with the 3800 and just fix them when a customer complains and not give a 4 week runaround. Now other than that I really like the tractor and will see how it works from now on. So there is a fix for the problem if you can argue with them long enough.

They will not admit to that any more than HD will admit to a tank slap on the FLH series
