Well gang its official Im retired from So Ca Edison after 37 years. Im blessed with good health , a lineman with a good back after many years of linework is not common. Now its full time Papa and part time farmer. Looking forward to many hunting trips doing a little traveling and spending lots of time at the ranch teaching my grandkids what that piece of ground means to our family . We've owned this ranch since 1/3/1900 its more than a piece of ground its our family heritage. Ill be headed to Canada next spring for a archery bear hunt looking forward to that, Ill be running some cattle , dry farming beans , grain and of course taking great care of my food plots for our local deer.Ill miss the guys at work probubly wont miss the work even thou I loved line work. Well thats it for now off to the ranch to pick up my 5th wheel taking the grandkids camping. Take care .....Dan...P.S I guess Ill take the wife also. LOL

OUTSTANDING wishing you all the best:D,,, though remember this,, I have found out since I retired, that you will never know how you got time to do all the stuff you did when you were working,,
cause now you wont have to much time for anything,,
Retirement is a very stressful job

Congratulations, Dan,

You will soon find out that you don't know what day of the week it is and why people eat at off rush times at restaurants!! LOL Each week will have 6 Saturdays and 1 Sunday. There are days my wife and I have to look at our watches to see what day of the week it is!

Have a Blessed retirement and enjoy those Grandchildren,

John in VA

Congratulations on your retirement. I retired in 2007, I highly recommend it. I am packing up for a hunting trip with my wife and son, went last weekend and my grandson and son got a deer, I "hunt" after a fashion, but mostly just enjoy the family time.

Congratulations. Sounds like you are a family man - good stuff. Will give you more time on the tractor too. I had my first grandson about a year ago but even at one yr old he loves to come to pap's to ride the Kuboto, bruumm, bruumm. I'm happy for you and your family. Enjoy and be safe!

Congratulations! As stated above, you will probably be so busy that you'll wonder how you got anything done while working. For me, Dec.1st will be 4 years retired after 36 years & 12 days with the same place....and I am busier now than ever. But it's a whole lot more rewarding working for myself, & I'm sure I'll live longer without all the stress & BS.
