Was "repairing" potholes on dirt driveway with my 95-2s, large bucket with teeth. Lots of forward and back movement to dig and then backfill/grade. About ⅓ tank fill in fuel tank. Got an e9302 error and went into limp home mode. Turned machine off, back on and it initially cleared, then came right back with e9302. Got out and checked the water separator (because it was easy) and closed up and started up again. Code stayed cleared. Went back to job and error came back after about 2 minutes or forward and back. Air in fuel line is what Google told me. Sat for a bit and restarted with cleared code and took the machine back to shop. Code stayed gone at idle, normal and fast spe. d. Interesting! I think the r. pid forward and back with a partially filled fuel tank caused enough sloshing to aerate the diesel and suck air into the fuel intake lines. WOW! Strange. I will be replacing the fuel filter and water separator elements now, as I am sure any debris in the tank was also sucked up. If this is the cause, and I really think it is, at least nothing more is wrong with the machine.

Makes sense, probably no baffles in the tank, get the right(wrong) motion and can see getting air in fuel. If fuel filter doesn't have a big enough 'bleed off air', then oopsy......

E9302 is " a Fuel leak in the High-Pressure System" which is most commonly caused by either the separator or the spin on filter being restricted which starves the high-pressure pump. The sensor then sees too low of pressure in the common rail and sets the code. There is not any air in the system, just too low of pressure.

Change both filters and your problem should go away.

Though I appreciate your comment, and understand what the code implies (i.e. low pressure in the fuel common rail), what I am experiencing is ANOTHER cause of this condition, other than restriction in the fuel filter or separator. IF air gets in the lines, it would compress instead of the fuel, and a drop in overall line pressure would result. My specific problem COMPLETELY resolved just by letting the machine sit for a couple minutes and then restart. Code cleared and has not returned with "regular" track loader use at both low and high speeds, and not having it dance back and forth rapidly. I will, however, change the fuel filter and separator, because, most likely, the same motion that (I feel) caused air in the lines, probably raised any garbage in the fuel tank to be drawn up into the filters. My ultimate solution is do only do this type of work with a very full fuel tank.

I doubt aerating the fuel caused the issue.

Sloshing fuel and exposing the bottom of the pickup tube in the fuel tank could be a cause though

99% of my low fuel rail pressure codes are caused by one of two things.

Either fuel filters are starting to clog.

Or air is entering the fuel system from a pinhole leak somewhere.
