I had one installed on my L3560HSTC before last winter and loved it. I put in a remote switch down to my barn, about 30' from the house, and I can turn it on from the house and while I have my coffee and breakfast it warms up and is ready to go.

Where did you get the remote switch from? I would like to install one for mine as well.

One option for a remote switch provided by an OTT member -
Receiver : https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051BTTP0/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Transmitter : https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0052RO58O/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The description indicates 500' range for transmitter, but mine is about 240' through glass at both ends and it barely works - I attached a light to the receiver also so that I can determine when it is on. There are other transmitter models that have 1 or 2 buttons, but for the price difference I selected the 3 button transmitter for adding additional receivers.

Based on other's experiences, it would be wise to have your parked tractor in neutral so there is no chance of it moving off when you start it from a distance!

There was a post here about a month ago about an HST that slowly creeped out of the storage area unattended.

If your machine is within wifi distance, look at Wemo wifi outlets. I have several, one of which does block heater duty in the garage. Programmable on/off or remotely operated via an app.

I think he was saying that he turned on the block heater and not start the motor. I used the same set up only with a single button transmitter, cheap option for warming up the Kubota without having to brave the cold. My barn is 300' away and I have to be in certain positions to turn it on, have a light as the other poster said to make sure it comes on. I leaned about this from a previous thread quite some time ago so if you want to reread do a search to see that discussion.

I got it on line, not sure if it was Amazon or not, it was a couple of years ago. It has a remote and an outlet to plug the block heater into. I set it so there is a low watt bulb plugged into it as well and hung it in the window so I know that the switch worked and the block heater is on.

stmar, you are exactly right. I read the thread you are talking about and got the idea from that. I searched around and found the one I have and it has worked well for the past couple of years.

I installed a block heater and a battery blanket on my JD. Then routed both of them to one convenient plug mounted under the steering wheel....
The small plug on the right, is for the battery tender. The large on the left powers the block heater and battery blanket.
