Has anybody had problems with an injector pump failing? I have a B7610 that is not getting fuel to the injectors. There is fuel at the filter and the mechanical fuel pump seems to be working. The fuel solenoid is operating properly. Only thing left I see is the injector pump.

Have you cracked the lines at the injectors to see if your getting fuel there?

Well as far as reliability the Bosch / Zexel inline pump is about as reliable as it gets. Did it just stop working out of the blue or has it been hard to start?

Just stopped working. It was very reliable before this. The mechanical fuel pump is pumping fuel, just not sure how much it should be pumping.

One day it started, moved ten feet and stopped. Have not been able to get it started since then.

The chances of a fuel injection pump taking a complete dive is very very very unlikely.
If the system is getting air sucked in from anywhere it will cause issues.

Remove the fuel line feeding the injection pump on the side, remove one injection high pressure feed line off the top, feed fuel from a funnel or bottle via a hose from above the pump, set throttle to high, and crank the engine, if you get fuel pulsing out of the removed line, then; work down the normal feed line and look for an issue, most issues are with tank output (junk in them) or a bad filter housing, seal, or clogged, or bad lift pump.

Yep you have an injection pump issue, that's the first time I've seen one do that.
It must have either ate something it shouldn't have or it broke a spring. ;)

Took the pump down to the Kubota dealer today. Was told $600-$800 to rebuild or $1200 for a new one. Seems high to me.

Besides dealer, you might want to ask around for a good diesel service shop. Should be many in DFW area.

Have heard of shipping to Oregon Injection, and also Arkansas service in Fort Smith. I haven't used them, but others have had good results they said.

While it's not everyone's cup of tea, if you are mechanically inclined, there is a series of pics on the web where someone has (IIRC) successfully pulled one of these and repaired it. It may be worth a look if you are interested. You will have to order parts etc., will depend on whether you have time or money to throw at it. I'll see if I still have the links.
