Iv got a excavator with a V2403 motor and I'm getting blow by where the injector meets the head it smells like exhaust and there is dirt buildup around the injector. Is this a matter of just replacing the injector or could this be a bigger problem. Any help is appreciated, new to diesel engines. thanks in advance

You might get away with just resealing the injector. Remove, replace all of the seals, including copper washer on the tip. Reinstall with proper fastener torque.

Matters which V2403 you have, there are three different injector types that were used in the V2403's.

A simple picture and I'll be able to tell you the type it uses.

If it uses the cartridge style then yes probably just need a new sealing washer.
If it uses a pencil injector it probably needs a new injector, because the seals are part of the injector.
If it uses the electronic injector it will not only need a new injector, but will also need to go to a Kubota dealer to be programed.
