I need help everyone.

This is my first post and I hope you all can help us. My dad has come down with dementia and has left me with a property that has a Kubota in a pole building. It has already been broken into and the car lift has been stolen. The cabin has been destroyed by a meth head, we really need to get the tractor out of there before it disappears.
The problem is he is down in Florida and doesn't care about this property up here in PA anymore, says it's my problem now. He also doesn't know where the keys are to the tractor and could care less. Dementia is a cruel illness! I know you can buy keys on Amazon but I have no idea what model he has, when we were up there last week we forgot to get a pic of the side of it. We never thought about the keys when we were there because we were dealing with the break in and missing car lift and all. Can you all tell what model it is from this picture? So I can order the keys from Amazon? If not we'll have to drive up there again just to get the model of it and it's a couple hours drive for us. Right now there's some big trees down across the drive way keeping the tractor safe hopefully.... We are planning on going up in one shot and with a trailer cutting the trees and getting the tractor in the next few weeks before it disappears. We just need keys to get it started and on the trailer because he did say he thinks he his them somewhere but can't remember where....

I would consider calling a local dealer. Have them pick it up and sell it on consignment for you.

Very sorry to hear - my mother suffers terribly with dementia also - it is an awful disease.

As for the tractor - looks to be a BX of some form - if I had to guess I would say a BX2370 - based on the arm rests that were not available on earlier models.

I would assume that the dealer would have a key in stock that will fit it. The key may be in the ignition?

I know that there are relatively few keys that will fit into Kubota tractors so you may just look for a full set of keys that fit like is shown below

Agree with @85Hokie - definitely a BX.

Could be a BXxx70 or BXxx80 tractor.

They have 18, 23, and 26 horsepower versions.

So could be a BX1870, BX2370, BX2670. Same would apply to the 80 series; BX1880, BX2380, BX2680.

For some reason Grill Guard makes me think 70 series also - just like @85Hokie said.

Keys should be easily obtained.

Yeah, he built the whole homestead completely off grid with solar for electric, composting toilets, recycled water for washing, showers etc. drinking water comes from a local spring. Views are amazing!
We are still shook from what the junkie did to the cabin. How he even found it is beyond us, it sits almost a mile off the road.

RC - I think the front bumper keeps it from being an XX80 series .....then again anything is possible.

The headlights and hood don't look any different than my LX but the center mounted curl cylinder would make it a different model.

The keys can be tricky. My tractor has a different key for the ignition and cab door locks. Either will go in the ignition and turn but only the ignition key will start it.

It is a BX due to the single cylinder bucket hydro. & there is no cab. He can't remember "BX"?

If this is legit: (beavis seems like a meth head name. Just sayin', no offense). ...and you are not a thief looking to steal; Contact a local Kubota dealer and show evidence of ownership or your Dad's ownership. Take Dad with you. Find the paperwork and records and show it. You might need to get the local Sheriff's office involved. And the dealer he bought it from. Then, get a key.

If you just want to steal a tractor, don't come here for advice.

There are ways to move owned property legally. Not having the key is a small issue. Posting on a tractor forum is questionable. Hire someone to transport it, but drug addicts don't do that.

On the other hand, my mom died from dementia a couple years ago. Everyone saw it's progression and we didn't wait until the end to sort out the property.

I am glad that we have someone that is a very careful former cop. The points that you made are taken to heart so I removed my advice on how to obtain a key. I hope that I did not accidentally contribute to a possible crime in progress.

Looks to be a BX model. Cannot determine which BX model from the photo but keys are universal.

The tractor in the picture is either a BX2370 or a BX2670, this is the key for them.
