I am going to have and put at least one trail cam up, cause I know no one is going to believe me. This morning I stumbled out onthe back porch with my coffee, really wishing I had a smoke to go with it to start the morning, but I digress. It was kind of foggy on the ridge this morning, and I saw something moving under the apple trees. By golly a spike, about 10 inches long on a pretty small deer. And then another a bit bigger looks like it might be a 5. Well this is a good morning, and then another and another for 7 bucks. I got the glasses to check points, and pick a number, from one big old boy that should be a solid 10, 2 8 pointers of that there is no doubt, 2 6's that may bud in to 7 or 8, like I said it was foggy that 5 point and the spike. They moved through slow and easy picking up fallen apples. It has been a long time since I have seen and bucks up here. So back in and sit down to check my email. And something caught my eye, 3 big hens and about 12 little ones were scratching around the wood pile and inthe gravel on the driveway, as they moved off I could see shadows inthe pines. A young doe with her twins was slipping through the pines. And of course the wabbits, I feel like Im in a Bambi movie this morning. I guess some days start better than others :)

We see deer about every other day where I am, but the bucks are quite rare. It's been probably a year since I've seen one and at the time, there were 2 young ones. (1 or 2 pt?) and a cat out by the woodpile.

It was so funny, I was literally LMAO.... the cat was driving these 2 very young bucks wild. They'd never seen a cat before I guess. I am sure I could've won "Americas Funny videos" $10k prize if I had only had a video camera set up.

Saw my first (of this years) fawn yesterday. Rack of bones and sooooo small.
