They delivered my Kubota Grand L3560 today. It is my first tractor and it has the loader and 6ft rotary mower.

Used it for some mowing today and look forward to learning more about it and becoming more efficient with it. My dad was using his MF275 to mow and afterwards he drove the Kubota with the cab and now he is thinking he might need to upgrade to a cab tractor.

Congrats that should be a great setup! I think if I could make my purchase over again I likely would have gone with the 3560 myself. I actually contacted my dealer and looked into trading back when I only had about 8 hours on my machine but they came back with a value loss of 20k and I responded that I'd rather just buy a second tractor sometime.

I sure like mine! No cab and no mower, no need to mow! My first tractor, bought last year at age 75!

congrads, nice machine.

The MF looks wider more stable for approximately same size tractor.

I think today’s tractors are too narrow relative to height, too tippy. The B series are only slightly wider than the bx but much higher, way too tippy.

The MF 265 is wider and it is a 60HP compared to the Kubota 37HP. I was amazed watching grandpa operate it when he was alive and dad is just as good as grandpa. The lower center of gravity and the wider wheelbase makes it a very stable unit.

I had a Massey with a turbo Perkins years ago. Good unit but pretty crude. Far as wheel spacing I can (but don't space my rims out). Narrow is good for my uses.

Just follow the manual for break in and observe the fluid change intervals. Don't neglect the air filter either. You can blow it out (from the inside out) and it only takes a minute.

I also noticed how much wider at least the front end of the MF is. Bmeyers, keep in mind the same exact tractor you bought can be had with a 60HP engine as well, so horsepower is not the only thing to consider.

I have used all four of my Kubotas for pretty extreme slope work...to include a B2920, an L4310, an L2501, and an MX4800. They all feel very similar on slopes in my opinion. My MX has ag tires and so the rims can be adjusted and made wider. I have them set at their widest position and the MX actually feels quite stable. My B series felt fine but I ended up adding 2" spacers to the rear wheels. I left the L4310 alone. The L2501 is new, and seems too narrow in the rear, so I might add spacers to that.

Second day of using the tractor. Getting a little more comfortable in it. Checked all the fluids and get it switched from the metric system to MPH/Gallons (the internet is nice for finding info not included in your manual).

I really like the cab. The bugs are ridiculous (I'm guessing cause of all the rain) and the cab is really nice. I know, I'm a softy, but at least now I'm willing to get out and work at cleaning things up. I will wait til this fall before I break out the chainsaws and start clearing the downed trees, until then the trees will just get shoved to the side and mowed around.

I look forward to learning more about the tractor and how to make the most use out of it.
