I am looking for some help in identifying a Kubota L62HD front mount snowblower. It supposedly came from a Kubota L2550 tractor. It is being sold and I am having trouble getting useable photos out of the vendor. I can't find anything about the blower on the internet or what tractors it will fit. Does anyone have good photos of the blower and mounting system ? Or know what tractor it will fit to ?

Any help would be appreciated. I might buy it for my B7800, or just buy it on spec.

Since you too are from Canada, I would suggest the blower you are considering is not one sold by Kubota but rather perhaps Lucknow or Smyth Welding both of whom convert their rear 3 pt hitch blowers for front mount applications.

Lucknow

Smyth

I would assume the 62 would be the blower width.

The importance of this number would be to suggest it may be too heavy a blower for a B series machine.

Do you have any photos, even of poor quality you could post?

He sent me 4 photos. The mount does not look like the one on my B7800. You are Dave from the Ziller site, right ? Hodgy

Yes its me on the Ziller forum.

This for sale blower is different than Kubota front mount blowers.

Kubota ones, for reasons of weight and cost, more closely follow the worm gear box in the middle of the auger design like walk behinds where this one seems to be a heavier design 3 pt hitch with a bevel gearbox.

It continues to look like a model made for heavier L series machines.

I have seen the same chute rotation mechanism on a McKee Bros product made for B7100 machine's 3 pt hitch.

McKee no longer exists but they too were in south western Ontario where Lucknow and Smyth now are.

I do think that this blower is too wide and heavy for the front end of a B7800. It might be a good investment for resale or a reason for you to move to a larger tractor.

It is obvious that the mounts are different on the 80's Kubota to the B series tractors in the next century. I think I will pass on buying this one. Good price though $500 CAD. Thanks for the help Dave.
